Contract Signing in Sublynk
Sublynk offers both onboarding and compliance functionality to its customers. Contracts are a key component of the onboarding process for a managed repair network, franchise, or connection between 2 contractors.
Note that we refer to someone joining the network or roster of another organization as joining their bench. The organization you are joining we refer to as the bench owner.
What is inside of a contract I am being asked to sign in Sublynk?
The Sublynk system combines several documents into our contract signing functionality including but not limited to;
- Corporate Contract
- This will be a contract between the contractor joining the Bench of a given organization, and that organization. Examples of this would be the contracts between a contractor and a managed repair network
- These contract contents change based on the types of work you are performing for the company you are joining the bench of
- W9
- One is collected every time a new connection is made between you and the company who's bench you are joining
- 3rd Party Insurance Authorization
- This gives Sublynk the authority to request a COI on your behalf from your agent or broker
- Background Check Attestation
- This form is an attestation that you will conduct a background check, every 3 years, on every employee or subcontractor who has access to the policyholder home or policyholder data of the organization you are joining the bench of, such as a managed repair network
Why am I being asked to sign a contract when I already have one in place with the bench owner?
If you have never joined the bench of a given bench owner in Sublynk, you will always be required to sign contracts again. This ensures we have the latest version of the bench owner's contract on file
It is also possible that an update was made to a contract by the bench owner, and they require you to re-sign the updated contract agreement
My contracts are being pre-filled with the wrong person as the signatory. Why is that?
The individual whose email was tied to the Network invitation is the one whose information is pre-populated on contracts. Sublynk assumes that our network partners are sending invitations to the owners of the organizations they're inviting to join their bench.
I want to change the name of the person signing contracts. How do I do that?
First, ensure that you've added the owner of the organization, or the person signing contracts, to your Sublynk account under "user management". Next, reach out to support@sublynk.com or start a live chat in the application to connect to a member of the Sublynk team. Once a Sublynk team member has updated the account owner and regenerated the contracts with the correct signatory, that individual can sign into Sublynk to sign contracts.
