How Do Public Profiles Work on Sublynk Certified?
The Sublynk Certified Network gives compliant organizations a public profile that serves as a verified, always-on credential for your business. You can view an example profile here: https://app.sublynk.com/profiles/sublynk-roofing-example-org
Your public profile is the page every homeowner, business owner, or contractor sees when they look up your organization. It is used in three places across the network:
- Public Directory
- Lynks & Jobs
- Direct URL
Public Directory
The public directory of all Sublynk Certified contractors is available at https://app.sublynk.com/contractors
The directory is open to the public at no charge and requires no login. Anyone browsing the directory will find Sublynk Certified contractors ranked by geographic search.
All ranking is based on profile completeness. There is no premium placement available. You cannot buy your way to the top; you earn your position through credentialing. The following categories each contribute to your ranking:
- Profile Logo
- About Us
- Website
- Contact Information
- Certifications (IICRC, RIA, HaaG, etc.)
- Licenses
- Background checks on owners
- Background checks on personnel
- Background checks on subcontractors
- Subcontractors managed by Sublynk
Every person who browses the directory has a direct way to contact a contractor, which generates a lead for that contractor. Sublynk does not place itself between customers and contractors, and no lead fees are charged.
Your profile completeness determines your ranking, and your ranking determines how many of those leads find their way to you.
Lynks & Jobs
A Lynk is a verified connection between two Sublynk Certified organizations. When your organization responds to a Job ad or requests a Lynk with another contractor, your public profile is shared with that organization. A complete, credentialed profile significantly increases the likelihood the other organization accepts your application or Lynk request.
Direct URL
Every Sublynk Certified contractor gets a unique public profile URL. Contractors who share their profile directly with customers during the sales process report higher close rates. Here is a field-tested script commonly used in the field:
"Hi, I am [Name] with [Company]. We are excited to meet you and help with your roofing needs. The first thing I want you to know is that we are a licensed, insured, and highly certified organization. We have background checks on everyone who works here and will walk onto your property, including our subcontractors. Here is a QR code you can scan to view our Sublynk Certified profile. Sublynk is an independent credentialing company that has verified all of our credentials. Please take a look right now.
If you choose not to work with us, please make sure whoever you work with has these things verified and can provide them on request. You do not want an unlicensed, uninsured contractor, or someone with unscreened personnel, walking onto your property."
That approach positions your organization as credible from the first conversation and sets a standard most competitors will not be able to match.
Profile Sharing
From your Sublynk Dashboard, you can view your public profile and access sharing materials. Clicking Share Profile gives you:
- Public Profile Link
- Downloadable Sublynk Certified Badge
- Website Embed Code
Use the Sublynk Certified Badge to create a branded link for your email signature or sales materials.
Use the website embed code to place your Sublynk Certified Badge and a backlink to your profile on your website. Your IT team can add this to any page where customers are likely to research your organization, driving traffic to your profile passively.
